The New Lexington Panthers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against Fairfield Union by a score of 51-43. For New Lexington, this counts as revenge for the 61-45 loss Fairfield Union walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2015.

New Lexington's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fairfield Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

New Lexington will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Warren at 7:30 p.m. Fairfield Union is on the road again on Friday and play against Bloom-Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Bloom-Carroll focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
