Volleyball Recap: Spanish Fork Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Spanish Fork had won six straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 15-4 to make it seven. Everything went their way against the Wasatch Wasps as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Dons were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Wasps, so the Dons were just returning the favor.

Leading Spanish Fork to victory were Sarah Harwood and Baylee Smith. Harwood had 11 digs and four aces, while Smith had ten digs and two assists. That's the most digs Harwood has posted over her last seven matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Spanish Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wasatch only served six.

As for Wasatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered against Spanish Fork since October 21, 2021.

Wasatch's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Milani Allred, who had six digs and three aces, and Macy Clark, who had 13 assists and four digs. Allred is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Spanish Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Pleasant Grove on the 18th. As for Wasatch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Timpview on the 18th.
