Softball Recap: Rosholt Hornets vs. Tri-County Penguins        
        
		
            
 Rosholt put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season  on Monday. They put the hurt on the Tri-County Penguins with a sharp  16-9 win. That's more bragging rights for Rosholt, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Addi Gagas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and five unearned) runs off   five  hits. Gagas has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Gagas was also big at the plate,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Gracie Flees was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Natalie Rink, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-6.
 On Tri-County's side,  Morgan Anderson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4.  Skye Hopkins was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Rosholt's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tri-County, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
 Rosholt will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 4:30  p.m. Rosholt is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.4  runs per game  this season. As for Tri-County, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Tigerton at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
