Soccer Game Preview: Rogers vs. Sumner

Rogers is 0-7 against Sumner since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m.

Rogers is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bonney Lake.

Meanwhile, Sumner waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sentinels a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Sumner, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Sumner's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Rogers suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Sumner when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
