Burns entered their tilt with Bessemer City on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp  3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  two weeks ago.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Burns took every set by at least 18 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7,  25-3.
 Karlye Clay paced Burns' offense, picking up 11 kills. Clay got some help from  Alexis Martin and her 25 assists.  Jordan Walker controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.
Burns' win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Bessemer City, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Burns is set to  take on  their familiar foe Stuart W. Cramer  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bessemer City will  square off against  rival Lincolnton  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
