Softball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

If Hudson was feeling good fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Explorers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Solon Comets on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Explorers in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.

Bailey Deutsch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Hudson's record now sits at 2-12. As for Solon, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-12.

Coming up, Hudson will square off against Nordonia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Explorers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
