Baseball Recap: Lindhurst Triumphs

Lindhurst won the last time they faced Williams and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blazers came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blazers.

Carlos Betancourt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He has become a key player for Lindhurst: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Joel Gonzalez, who scored three runs and stole two bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Lindhurst's victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Williams, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
