Basketball Recap: Manzanola Comes Up Short

Manzanola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Wiley Panthers, falling 70-27. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mark Holland, who posted eight points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Julian Chavez, who had 11 points.

Manzanola's record is now 2-14. As for Wiley, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Manzanola will head out on the road to square off against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wiley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 31-21 loss against Cheyenne Wells on the 8th.
