Softball Recap: Sky View Takes a Loss

Sky View and West Field squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sky View had to settle for second. They came up short against the Longhorns, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-2 loss on Thursday.

Brylee Andrus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Eliza Birman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Sky View and nudges their season record down to 12-20. As for West Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Sky View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Field, they will square off against Cedar at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Reds will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight.
