Basketball Recap: Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Valley and St. Dominic squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Valley had to settle for second. They took a blow against the St. Dominic Saints, falling 59-28. The Cavaliers were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 55 points in the eight matches prior), but the Saints' defense proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valley fell to 22-1. As for St. Dominic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Dominic, they will face off against Schenck at 2:45 p.m. on March 1st. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Schenck sitting on 22 straight wins and St. Dominic on nine.
