Football Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pacheco extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They fell 26-13 to the Lathrop Spartans. The Panthers were down 26-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Raul Moreno threw for 101 yards on seven of 18 attempts. Brenton Siemiller was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards. On the ground, Joseph Valencia rushed for 41 yards and one score.

As for Lathrop, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points over those games.

Lathrop got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Treydon Santos out in front who picked up 95 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 57 yards on only eight carries. Santos also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Another passer making a difference was Landen Nolte, who threw for 145 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.

Pacheco wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-20 defeat against Central Valley on the 26th. As for Lathrop, they have also already played their next game, a 20-9 victory against Grace Davis on the 26th.
