Baseball Recap: Kings Christian Takes a Loss

If Kings Christian was feeling good fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Alpaugh on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the Legacy Christian Academy Lions by a score of 15-14 on Friday. The Crusaders have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Andrew Ortega made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with seven stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Rusty Martin, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Kings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.
