Woodland Christian extended their winning streak to 18 games thanks to a huge performance from Romello Bruhn. The Woodland Christian Cardinals blew past the Argonaut Mustangs 87-63 on Friday thanks in part to Bruhn, who dropped a double-double with 49 points and ten rebounds. His big performance that afternoon made it 59 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Thomas, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 19 points and six boards. He has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last eight times he's played.

Despite the loss, Argonaut had strong showings from Mitchell Mcmahan, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds, and JJ Lungren, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 21 points and four steals. Lungren continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zander Castro, who shot 42% from the field en route to 10 points and five steals.

Woodland Christian's win bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Argonaut, they moved to 25-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Woodland Christian will host Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Woodland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 23 matchups. As for Argonaut, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chowchilla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 32 contests -- so hopefully Chowchilla likes a good challenge.
