Softball Recap: Satellite Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Satellite was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vero Beach Indians.

Mallory Hines was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Satellite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harlowe Doolittle, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Satellite's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Vero Beach, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Satellite will welcome Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hustlers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Scorpions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Vero Beach, they will host John Carroll Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
