Volleyball Recap: Wesson Takes a Loss

Wesson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Lawrence County Cougars. The Cobras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lawrence County scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Wesson now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lawrence County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Wesson has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against North Pike on the 19th. Lawrence County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
