Soccer Game Preview: Danville vs. Madison Southern

The Danville Admirals will challenge the Madison Southern Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Danville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Frankfort, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, Madison Southern kept a clean sheet against Somerset on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Briar Jumpers 1-0. The win continues a trend for Madison Southern in their matchups with Somerset: they've now won three in a row.

Danville took their victory against Madison Southern in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Admirals since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
