The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither River City nor Pioneer made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Raiders skirted past the Patriots 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Patriots on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-6 loss.

River City's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zach Scorza, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Another was Hayden Onatanian, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

River City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Pioneer, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.

Looking ahead, River City will venture away from home to take on Bradshaw Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pride will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pioneer, they will host Rio Americano at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
