Football Game Preview: Ottawa Pirates vs. Rochelle Hubs + How To Watch

The Ottawa Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Rochelle Hubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ottawa is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Ottawa's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Morris on Friday. They were outmatched by Morris and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Morris are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Rochelle was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Kaneland 21-20. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Hubs were the better team in the second half.

Ottawa better keep an eye on Roman Villalobos. He was instrumental in Rochelle's win, rushing for 134 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns Villalobos has posted since back in November of 2024.

Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rochelle, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Ottawa was taken down by Rochelle 64-10 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 52-3.
