The Rogers Pirates will challenge the Wauconda Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rogers is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Rogers is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lexington just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 7-6.

Bo Mitchell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Easton Bradley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Wauconda got the win against Crystal Lake Central on Saturday by a conclusive 20-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Wauconda let Dominic Ciaburri and Lucas Swanson run wild. Ciaburri went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles, while Swanson went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most doubles Ciaburri has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Rudolph, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Wauconda's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
