Basketball Recap: United South Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

United South fought the good fight in their overtime match against Eagle Pass on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagle Pass Eagles by a score of 55-53. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

United South's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8. As for Eagle Pass, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-8.

United South and Eagle Pass should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. United South (ranked 211th) will meet Laredo LBJ (ranked 891st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Eagle Pass will square off against Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 605 places (256 vs. 861).
