Basketball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Seminary Skates Past St. Charles with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Michigan Lutheran Seminary's strategy against St. Charles on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals blew the St. Charles Bulldogs out of the water with a 59-25 final score. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Broekhuizen led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Reif, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 15 points.

The victory (which was Michigan Lutheran Seminary's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for St. Charles, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
