Recap: University Titans vs. Deltona Wolves
This season hasn't been kind to the University Titans, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Deltona 66-17 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, University can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 628th, while Deltona is ranked 263rd).
Deltona found their leader in underclassman Iniya Reddicks, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Reddicks has scored at least 25% of Deltona's points. Another player making a difference was Daviona Doby, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Deltona, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University and Father Lopez will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Deltona, they will be playing at home against New Smyrna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully New Smyrna Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
