Lunenburg came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the St. Bernard's Central Catholic Bernardians. This was payback for the Blue Knights, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Maegan Martell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lilly Grebinar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Lunenburg's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Bernard's Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
