San Antonio Christian hadn't done well against St. Joseph recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions skirted past the Flyers 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

San Antonio Christian took St. Joseph into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 15-13.

Annabelle Warren paced San Antonio Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Warren got some help from Elizabel Pool and her 28 assists. Finally, Sara Cleveland kept San Antonio Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

San Antonio Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-16. As for St. Joseph, with the defeat, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 35-11.
