Softball Recap: Souhegan Wins Going Away Against Hollis-Brookline

Souhegan hadn't done well against Hollis-Brookline recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Sabers were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over the Cavaliers. For the Sabers, this counts as revenge for the 9-8 victory the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Souhegan and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Hollis-Brookline, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Souhegan is set to square off against their familiar foe Sanborn Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hollis-Brookline will take on rival Oyster River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
