Edgewood took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 20-14 W over Ross.

Meanwhile, Valley View entered their tilt with Madison on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed past the Mohawks to the tune of 47-0. That looming 47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Edgewood better keep an eye on Brodie Hopkins. He was instrumental in Valley View's win, rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Gavin Phillips made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Valley View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Phillips, Brody Welfare, and Anthony Valenti picked up one apiece. Phillips got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
