St. Margaret was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 73-52 to the La Costa Canyon Mavericks. The game marked the Tartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

St. Margaret's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for La Costa Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, St. Margaret's will challenge Buena Park at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for La Costa Canyon, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against San Clemente at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks will need to watch out since the Tritons have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
