Flag Football Game Preview: Green Mountain Rams vs. Chatfield Chargers + How To Watch

The Green Mountain Rams will square off against the Chatfield Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Green Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

Green Mountain's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Evergreen 45-0. Considering the Rams have won seven matchups by more than 25 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Green Mountain found their leader in sophomore Marissa VanGuilder, who picked up 117 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Thanks to that big game, VanGuilder is now up to 23 receiving touchdowns on the season.

Green Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Scarlet Thomsen and Ella Cockrum. Thomsen is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as she's now made seven or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Chatfield fell victim to Valor Christian and their airtight defense last Saturday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 33-0. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Green Mountain pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.3 points on average over those games. As for Chatfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Green Mountain and Chatfield were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Green Mountain suffered an agonizing 13-12 defeat. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
