Basketball Game Preview: Del Campo Cougars vs. Yuba City Honkers

Del Campo is on a six-game streak of home losses, Yuba City a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Del Campo Cougars will host the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Del Campo challenged Roseville on Friday. Del Campo was outmatched by Roseville and fell 77-44. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while the Tigers are ranked 326th).

Meanwhile, Yuba City didn't have too much breathing room in their game against River Valley on Friday, but they still walked away with a 52-46 win.

Del Campo better keep an eye on Jay Rai. He was instrumental in Yuba City's win, putting up 15 points along with six boards and three steals. Rai's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Travis Lomeli, who posted ten points.

Yuba City's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Del Campo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.
