Soccer Game Preview: Savio vs. Central Catholic

Savio is 1-9 against Central Catholic since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Buttons at 5:00 p.m. Savio's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Savio had just enough and edged out Antonian Prep 2-1.

Meanwhile, Central Catholic fell victim to TMI-Episcopal and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time Central Catholic couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Savio now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Central Catholic, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Savio beat Central Catholic by a goal in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
