Soccer Game Preview: Burbank vs. Burroughs

The Burbank Bulldogs will challenge the Burroughs Bears at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Burbank's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Burbank is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Crescenta Valley on Thursday. Burbank fell just short of Crescenta Valley by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Burroughs didn't have quite enough to beat Pasadena on Monday and fell 2-1. The Bears have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Burroughs' goal came courtesy of Justin Trigo, who's now up to four this season.

Burbank's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-3. As for Burroughs, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-3.

Burbank beat Burroughs by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Burbank since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
