Soccer Game Preview: East Rowan vs. South Rowan + Official Tickets

The East Rowan Mustangs will take on the South Rowan Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Rowan has given up an average of 2.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Rowan is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight matches on Tuesday. They came up short against Salisbury, falling 7-2. While losing is never fun, East Rowan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Salisbury are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Rowan). Everything went their way against West Rowan on Tuesday as they made off with a 5-2 win. Johan Sanchez was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

South Rowan's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13-1. As for East Rowan, they now have a losing record of 9-10-1.

East Rowan took their win against South Rowan when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
