Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sports Leadership & Management). Everything went their way against the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won five in a row.

JR Eichmann looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Elio Quero and Chris Pope did most of the damage at the plate: Quero went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one run, while Pope scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Sports Leadership & Management is undefeated when Pope posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chucho Tirado, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sports Leadership & Management's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sports Leadership & Management will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Foundation Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, they are taking a road trip to take on Berkeley Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Phoenix's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
