Volleyball Recap: Riverton Parke Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Riverton Parke duked it out with South Vermillion on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Riverton Parke might've won, it sure wasn't easy: South Vermillion scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21.

Annie Campbell paced Riverton Parke's offense, picking up 14 kills. Campbell got some help from Taylor Melvin and her 39 assists. Milynn Organn and Cora Batty kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Riverton Parke's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for South Vermillion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverton Parke will face off against North Vermillion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Vermillion, they will challenge Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
