Baseball Game Preview: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Hill Falcons

For the second straight game, Gilroy will face off against Hill. The Mustangs will host the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilroy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Gilroy beats Hill with six runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Mustangs came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 6-3 on Monday.

Mitch Friebel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Evan Passama, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Neander, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Hill and nudges their season record down to 4-18. As for Gilroy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.
