Baseball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Agoura on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dylan Ramsey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westlake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Agoura, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14.

While Westlake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
