Oak Grove and Lincoln are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Oak Grove Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lincoln Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Oak Grove is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 12-1 to Live Oak.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over Del Mar on Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Carina Reuterskiold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jocelynn Perez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Diaz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Mar struck out 13 times.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Oak Grove suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Lincoln when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Oak Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
