Baseball Recap: Beaver Local Takes a Loss

Beaver Local lost against Weir back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Beavers took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Riders. That's two games in a row now that the Beavers have lost by exactly four runs.

Paxton Grimes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Stull, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Beaver Local and nudges their season record down to 2-11. As for Weir, their record now sits at 7-11.

Beaver Local has already played their next game, an 11-2 loss against Columbiana on the 24th. As for Weir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Edison on the 24th.
