Football Game Preview: Laconia Sachems vs. Gilford Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The Laconia Sachems will challenge the Gilford Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Laconia comes in on eight and Gilford on five.

Laconia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough Academy 28-7.

Meanwhile, Gilford faced Monadnock in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 26-13 victory over the Huskies.

Laconia's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Gilford, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Laconia barely slipped by Gilford when the teams last played back in September, winning 15-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sachems since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
