Basketball Recap: Heritage Hall Takes a Loss

Heritage Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 91st).

It was another big night for Hudson Mccormick, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards for Bishop McGuinness. That's the most rebounds Mccormick has posted since back in February of 2024. Jackson Stone was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Heritage Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bishop McGuinness, their record now sits at 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Hall will head out to take on Christian Heritage at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop McGuinness, they will head out on the road to challenge Crossings Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crossings Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Bishop McGuinness likes a good challenge.
