Softball Recap: Southeastern Comes Up Short

Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Appalachian Eagles. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Appalachian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Southeastern will challenge Pennington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Appalachian has already played their next game (against Cleveland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
