Baseball Game Preview: National Trail Blazers vs. Tri-Village Patriots

The National Trail Blazers will head out to face off against the Tri-Village Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. National Trail is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Arcanum hit National Trail with a five-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blazers lost 12-2 to the Trojans.

National Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Ott, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Mason Leal, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Tri-Village came up short against Milton-Union on Wednesday and fell 7-4. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Village's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for National Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

National Trail was able to grind out a solid win over Tri-Village when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blazers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
