While Lee's victory against John Battle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Trojans on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Generals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Avery Weston made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Chloe Bledoe was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Addie Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Lee pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for John Battle, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

As of now, neither Lee nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
