South Shelby had won eight straight games and Callie Mcwilliams did her part to make it nine on Friday. The South Shelby Cardinals walked away with a 52-44 victory over the California Pintos thanks in part to Mcwilliams, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.

Jayda Lanpher was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

South Shelby's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for California, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

South Shelby will head out to take on North Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for California, they will look to defend their home court on January 4, 2025 against Principia at 5:00 p.m. Principia's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so California's offense will have their work cut out for them.
