Volleyball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Falls Short of St. John's/Tipton Catholic in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sylvan-Lucas can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Blujays: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15.

Jayden Meitler paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up five kills. Meitler got some help from Lily Pancost and her six assists. Lauren Brokes controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sylvan-Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 24-12. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Sylvan-Lucas nor St. John's/Tipton Catholic have any future games scheduled.
