Preview: Lewis Cass Kings vs. North Miami Warriors
The Lewis Cass Kings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the North Miami Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Lewis Cass will be strutting in after a victory while North Miami will be coming in after a loss.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 12 to 3 on the offensive boards, a fact Lewis Cass proved on Friday. They walked away with a 42-29 win over Maconaquah. Given Lewis Cass' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Maconaquah is ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kinsey Mennen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Anna Hedrick was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, North Miami's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 74-63 to Northwestern. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lewis Cass is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for North Miami, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.
Lewis Cass strolled past North Miami in their previous matchup on January 10th by a score of 46-31. Does Lewis Cass have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Miami turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
