 Holmes won the last time they faced Hertford County, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Holmes Aces walked away with  a   6-2  win over the Hertford County Bears. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Holmes.
 The team  relied heavily on  Connor Copeland, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases.  Zack Walston was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 On Hertford County's side,  Tre'Vyahn Thorne was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ryland Whitby, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Holmes' victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 10-13. As for Hertford County, they are  on  a  13-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-22.
