Recap: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Bellaire Big Reds

There's no place like home for the Shenandoah Zeps, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Bellaire 67-40 at home. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for Shenandoah this season.

When it comes to explaining why Bellaire lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mac Pettigrew. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That was a full 47.5% of Bellaire's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Bellaire struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Shenandoah pushed their record up to 7-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Bellaire, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will take on Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellaire, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Bridgeport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
