Forest Hills Eastern was the 62-46 winner over East Grand Rapids when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Forest Hills Eastern Hawks fell 54-46 to the East Grand Rapids Pioneers on Friday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Forest Hills Eastern now has a losing record at 3-4. As for East Grand Rapids, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Forest Hills Eastern and East Grand Rapids could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Forest Hills Eastern (ranked 359th) will meet Catholic Central (ranked 79th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Grand Rapids will square off against Forest Hills Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th down 345 places (425 vs. 80).
