The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pocola, who took down 215th ranked Pocola, 20-14. Trevor Bourne threw for 70 yards and one touchdown and ran for 59 yards in the win.
Bourne and Gabe Harp provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Indians. The longest such play in 2A District 6 this season, the connection resulted in 55 yards.
Preston Hobbs provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Pocola fell to Panama. He completed 20 passes for 152 yards and also ran for 37 yards. Hobbs' favorite target this week was Beau Kerbow, who caught 19 passes for 132 yards.
Eric Casey was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 119 yards on six carries as Vian lost to the Razorbacks. Rowdy Simon also contributed to the rushing game with 86 yards on the ground.
Harp made the biggest impact on defense this week as Panama defeated the Indians. The 5-foot-10 sophomore grabbed two interceptions and forced one fumble.
Pocola's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnny Satlerfield has thrown for 688 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Kerbow has 54 catches for 550 yards. Devon Martin leads the league in rushing with 725 yards.
A big matchup in 2A District 6 this week will be when the Wolverines take on Brandon Ellis' team. Vian is currently in first, while the Razorbacks are in fifth.
Brandon Tyler's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hartshorne, 56-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
